Ecclesall Pre-school has grown from its humble beginnings in a local mum’s front room in 1969 to its current role as an established part of the local community. The pre-school is managed by a voluntary management committee and is inspected by OFSTED. Our last OFSTED report from June 2018 found the provision of Early Years Education to be Good.

Picture of main room for EPSWe are committed to support your children based on their individual needs and work closely with parents and carers to aid the development of each and every child in our care. There are a maximum of 26 children per session with a high ratio of staff to children. This allows us to dedicate time to all children and support their development. We are particularly proud of our good links with local infant schools, which allows to ease the transition for children from pre-school to ‘big school’.

While there is no such thing as a ‘typical’ day at Ecclesall Pre-school, each and every day follows a set routine to provide a structure that the children quickly become familiar with. The pre-school operates for 38 weeks a year during term-time (please click here for more information about our opening hours). In addition to your child’s regular sessions, we are also able to offer additional care during normal pre-school opening hours, as long as there are places available in the session you need cover for, please click here to find out more.
